In Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Shang-Chi is a man whose past comes to catch up with him instantly. In Black Widow, Natasha Romanov goes on a journey of redemption through dealing with her past. She reunites with the family that she has known since childhood. This redemptive process started taking place when she first joined SHIELD before the events of Iron Man 2, the film where she was introduced. At this time, she blows up the building where the man who forced her to be raised into an assassin, Dreykov, was in at the moment. His daughter also happened to be present. Natasha had always resented that Dreykov’s daughter had to be collateral damage. Back to present day in the film, she is reunited with her sister who tells her that Dreykov is, in fact, not dead as Natasha had previously believed. In the process of trying to take the Red Room down, the place where they were both raised to be assassins, they end up fighting someone who has the keen ability to mimic 1:1 the combat moves that they watch known as Taskmaster. Spider-Man: Far From Home

          In Spider-Man: Far from Home, Peter is attracted to MJ and devises a plan to win her over. They are on vacation with some of their classmates for a weeklong “educational tour” in Europe in the summer. Their first stop is in Venice, Italy where Peter buys MJ a glass black dahlia necklace. His plan was to wait until they were in Paris to give it to her as a gift and ask her out. These original plans were foiled by a big threat coming to Venice while the group was there that ultimately ended up making the group’s plans change to where they wouldn’t be going to Paris. Eventually, MJ finds out that Peter is Spider-Man. The final fight with the villain, Mysterio, takes place in London where Mysterio makes sure the school group is located. Peter ends up giving the necklace to MJ through Happy, but it is, to Peter’s disappointment, broken. Avengers: Endgame

  In Avengers: Endgame, the heroes that survived Thanos’ snap from the end of Avengers: Infinity War deal with the emotional and psychological aftermath of the event. 5 years later, Scott Lang comes out of the Quantum Realm and suggests time travel through the Quantum Realm to undo Thanos’ snap. Tony is able to figure out time travel and the heroes recover the stones. When they return to the current time, Hulk snaps with a new infinity gauntlet to restore the lives lost literally by Thanos’ hand. Seconds afterward, a time-traveling Thanos makes his return and destroys the Avengers facility. While the rest of the heroes recover the big three, Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America, each take on Thanos in combat. After Thanos knocked both Thor and Iron Man unconscious Cap is able to hold his own for a bit and then the Mad Titan beats him up a good bit, even ripping apart his vibranium shield in the process. Avengers: Infinity War

          In Avengers: Infinity War, during their travels to Earth, the Asgardian people encounter Thanos and his children known as the Black Order. Thor, Hulk, and Loki try to prevent him from being able to use the space stone, which was the Tesseract, but are proven powerless against Thanos. Once the Great Titan, Thanos, successfully retrieves the stone, he destroys the ship, leaving the bodies of the Asgardians that were on that ship, along with the unconscious Thor, to float off in space as they continue their search for the rest of the Infinity Stones. Later on, the Guardians of the Galaxy find him and bring him aboard their ship. While catching them up on the situation, Thor holds up the spoon with which he is eating his food and realizes that he needs a new weapon to replace his broken hammer, Mjolnir (see Thor: Ragnarok) in order to be able to take on Thanos, so he takes Rocket Raccoon and Groot with him to Nidavellir. Ant-Man and the Wasp

          In Ant-Man and the Wasp, Hank Pym, in a conversation with his daughter, Hope, recalls the time that he lost his wife, Janet, on a mission to stop a missile. She had to shrink into the Quantum Realm in order to do so. This event took place a few decades prior to the conversation. Hank thought that Janet might have died that day, but once Scott Lang returned, he thought that it might be possible that Janet is still alive. And if that’s possible then it’s possible that they might be able to bring her back from the Quantum Realm. Hank, Hope, and Scott spend the remainder of the film buying parts and building a Quantum tunnel to be able to do just that.           In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor, the god of thunder, faces the most personal challenge of his 1500 years of life up to this point. He returns to Asgard to find that his brother, Loki, has used his magic to exile Odin, their father, from the kingdom only to take the throne himself, disguised as Odin, and his best friend, Heimdall, is in hiding from Loki for being wrongly accused of treason. Then, once Thor exposed Loki’s magical scheme to the people of Asgard, the two brothers went to Earth to retrieve the real Odin from exile only for them to be told that they both have an evil older sister before witnessing their father’s death.           In Doctor Strange, a neurosurgeon, Dr. Stephen Strange, known for his great success in his career because of the stability of his hands finds himself to be in a crisis. He ends up in a car accident that severely damages the nerves in his hands causing them to shake. In order to solve the problem of his shaking hands, he reverts to the medicine of the western world that he has always known. When he realizes that western medicine won’t help him reach his goals he reverts to the Eastern Hemisphere where he is led to a place called Kamar-Taj. It is there that he meets The Ancient One who trains him in the Mystic Arts. He is able to quickly pick up on his training and upon surpassing the skill of The Ancient One faces Kaecilius, a disciple of a cosmic being, Dormammu and defeats them both.
